THE TITANIC PLAYERS
At Northwestern University
Performing improvised comedy on the Evanston campus since 1994
ABOUT US
Established in 1994, The Titanic Players are one of the most successful college improv organizations in the country. In 2007, and again in 2009, we took home the 1st place trophy in the National College Improv Tournament prevailing over a field of over 100 teams. We are the only organization to win multiple tournaments, to open for MadTV, and Ilana Glazer on campus, to perform live on WNUR radio, and to perform as a team on the iO schedule. We perform all types of improv but specialize in long form, where we improvise entire pieces from a single suggestion. We are educated and supported by One Group Mind, the first ever developing Improvisers Guild, and perform regularly at their venue in Chicago, The Comedy Clubhouse.
AUDITIONS
We have 4 groups on campus and every year in the fall we audition for a new group that stays together for 4 years! The final 2 years are coached by Alum and Artistic Director of The Comedy Clubhouse, Mike Abdelsayed. No prior experience necessary, so audition!
Auditions are October 12th and 13th!
